  Contact/Ordering Information

Scheduling Note: Our office will be closed March 19th-26th while we perform on-location work for clients.

Ordering/ Payment information: You may order by phone, email, or snailmail. We will process any size order, but orders with a merchandise total under $25 will have $3 added to defray the packing/ handling charges we normally absorb on larger orders. Domestic orders can be pre-paid with a check, money order, or Visa / Mastercard/ Discover. No COD's or purchase orders. For security reasons, charge card orders must be shipped to the billing address. Please remember that email is not secure, so call in your credit card information or use Paypal. If you can't reach us by phone, simply email your phone # and we will call you. Special order items must be paid in advance. Returned checks are subject to bank fees plus any collection expenses. Due to popular demand, we have started accepting online payments via Paypal. Just be sure to verify your exact total with shipping before transferring funds. Using a credit card over the phone is still faster, Paypal transactions can take an extra 1-5 days to process through their system.

International orders [except Canada] must be pre-paid with an international money order drawn in US dollars on a US bank, or by wire transfer. Due to high levels of credit card fraud, we can not process any charge card with a billing address outside the US or Canada. Paypal is now offering a simplified, low cost  way to transfer funds internationally, and currently covers 25 countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America. CLICK HERE for a list.

What...no on-line ordering?? If you keep up with the news at all, you have undoubtedly heard of many instances where supposedly "secure" on-line ordering setups have been hacked, and thousands of credit card numbers stolen and used for fraudulent purposes . We don't want to risk this happening to our customers. If the giants like Amaz*n can't produce a hack-proof system, we certainly can't.  Beyond Security: The bulk of our business involves repair parts for existing speakers, and determining exactly what is needed often requires a bit of diagnosis, plus there are often multiple replacement options. The "impulse" nature of on-line shopping leads to the ordering of incorrect parts at 2 a.m., which leads to more returns, which leads to higher prices and headaches all around. There's nothing worse than ordering $350 worth of mids and tweeters for your AR 3a's only to find out all you really needed was $28 worth of level controls. By working with every customer one-on-one by phone or email, we are able to keep our return rate to less than 1%, our prices low, and customers happy.

Email: info@speakersupply.com   We try to answer all email messages within 2-3 business days, but this is not always possible as we often receive 50-100 email requests per day. If you have a question that is very technical in nature and will require a lengthy reply, please give us a call. We can deal with these questions much better over the phone.  If you are outside the US or on a military/ government / university email account, please include your exact email address in the body of the message. Email from these sources often arrives with an invalid "reply to" address.

Please DO NOT include attachments unless we have requested and are expecting them! Hate to delete attachment containing email on sight, but there is no such thing as 100% effective anti-virus software. The Norton folks report that 1 in 5 internet connected home PC's are infected each year, that jumps to 30-40% for high traffic business computers. The #1 spread agent is an infected email attachment, usually sent by the virus itself. Our system usually catches 2-4 virus infected emails per day.

***Special Note for Free Email Service Users***  [Includes Yahoo, Excite, Hotmail, and many others]  Due to the ever increasing amount of unsolicited commercial email [SPAM] clogging our mail system, we have implemented the use of SPAM filters. Since the bulk of SPAM originates from these free email services, valid email from "regular" users will sometimes get screened out. If you don't receive a reply within a few days, try re-sending your message or just giving us a call.

Phone: 1 [615] 298-4124, Hours are Mon-Fri, 11am-6pm Central  time [GMT -6]. Please call during regular business hours, noting that we are on Central Standard Time [1hr behind Eastern, 2hrs ahead of Pacific]. If you get our voicemail during business hours, we are either on another line or out on a service call. Please leave your name/number and we will return you call as soon as possible. We are constantly on the phone with customers taking orders and answering technical questions...so please try back if you get a busy signal. Due to the high cost involved, we can not return international calls [sorry Canada, this includes you too]. If you are located outside the US feel free to call us, but please note the time difference.

Shipping/Mailing address: Layne Audio, 17 Westlawn CT., Nashville, TN 37209 USA
Note for Nashville area customers:
We are mail order only and as such do not have a retail location set up to take walk-in customers at our shipping address.

Shipping: Freight charges are not included in listed prices unless specified otherwise in the item description. We ship via FedEx, FedEx Ground, or Priority Mail, which ever is the fastest and most cost effective for your order. FedEx deliveries must go to a street address, no PO boxes.  International orders are typically sent air mail for small items, and parcel post [surface] for heavy items. Express delivery [overnight, 2-day, or 3-day] is available on most in-stock items. Priority Mail and Parcel Post are the only delivery methods generally available for APO/ FPO addresses. Shipping costs are based on package weight and destination, not dollar value [so you don't get overcharged for ordering a small, expensive item]. All items are checked prior to shipping, any claims for shipping damage must be filed with the carrier. We will assist you in any way possible in the process. Damage claims must be filed within 7-14 days of receipt [depending on carrier], so please check your items as soon as they arrive. Freight charges must be pre-paid, we will no longer ship anything via 3rd party billing [aka freight collect to your UPS/FedEx account].

Return Policy: Returns on normally stocked items can be made within 14 days [of delivery], there is a 20% restocking fee and shipping charges are non refundable. Returned items must be in like-new condition with all original packing materials/accessories/ etc. No refunds or exchanges on installed electrical components, custom products/labor or on special order items unless we ship the wrong item or the item is defective. In such cases the item will be exchanged at no charge. Custom items include any made to order cabinets, crossovers, crossover kits, assembled speakers /speaker kits, and any plans/designs. In the rare event that customers are unhappy with any of our custom work, we will do everything possible to make the necessary adjustments. Special order items include any non-stocked items. Please note that replacement parts for many older speakers may require you to make changes to the existing cabinet, crossover, and/or wiring. We will alert you in advance to any necessary changes that we are aware of, but due to the many variations in older speaker systems it is impossible to  know every detail of every model.

Warranty Information: We do our best not to be just another "junk dealer", instead concentrating on selling high quality items. As a result, our incidence of warranty claims is very low...but things do happen. Please inquire about warranty details for your specific product. Most new parts carry a 3-12 month factory warranty, but this does vary depending on the manufacturer. No warranty covers shipping damage,  misuse, abuse, or any incidental/ coincidental damages. Use only slip-on connectors when connecting your new drivers, soldering directly to a driver voids its warranty. Used / Surplus / Rebuilt parts are fully tested prior to shipment and carry only a "no DOA" warranty unless specified otherwise. Refoamed drivers carry a 5-year warranty on the foam and install labor, but you can expect 30+ years of actual foam life under normal use. Please make any warranty inquiries with us first. We will either handle the claim for you or direct you the manufacturer, which ever will get the quickest results. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs involved in a warranty exchange or service.

Privacy Policy/ Credit Card Security: We do not sell or share customer information with anyone...Period. We don't send out junk mail [electronic or paper]. Credit card transactions are processed on a stand alone computer which has no remote access capability, and we do not store credit card information. Paper order forms with personal data are destroyed after an order ships.

Earth Friendly Operation: We are, for all intents and purposes, in the recycling business. Just as with any other "appliance", repairing an existing set of speakers has far less total impact on the environment than tossing out your old cabinets and buying new. It is also much more cost effective. Sure your old Advent's may need $160 worth of woofers to get up and running again, but that's a fraction of what you would pay for comparable new speakers today.

Over 90% of our packing/ shipping materials are re-used or recycled, pretty much everything except tape and address labels. We re-use boxes, bubble wrap, foam, peanuts, newspaper, etc. that come to us from our suppliers and various local sources. This practice makes sense in many ways: A huge volume of reusable materials is kept in circulation rather than going to a landfill, and we don't have to inflate prices or charge a "handling" fee to pay for new boxes and packing supplies. Any unusable materials are broken down and used for other purposes or recycled whenever possible. No dumpster here, a single 30gal trash bag every other week usually does the trick. We make extensive use of compact florescent bulbs in light fixtures, which cuts energy usage by 75% compared to regular incandescent bulbs. Computers are energy star compliant with all energy saving features enabled. The delivery van gets a measly 14mpg in city traffic...we're workin' on that.
